63% of Pokemon Go players report spending more time walking their dogs since starting to play

According to a recent study published in the Computers in Human Behavior Journal, 43% of Pokemon Go players report spending more time with family and friends, and 52% of participants reported spending more time with their dogs.

 

Players also reported feeling:

 

– less anxious leaving the house (38.6%),

– less anxious interacting with strangers (39.7%)

– less anxious visiting new places (39.4%)

We may be at the onset of augmented reality games that improve mental and physical health, and the quality of life for people and pets alike.
